Jimmy Carter has been involved with Collinsville since the 1950's when his grandparents moved from Sand Mountain to a residence on South Valley Avenue. After years spent pursuing business interests, Mr. Carter returned to his roots to settle down. After raising two sons who graduated from Collinsville High School, the Mayor and his wife purchased an older house on east Main Street with plans of renovation. |
