Renovation of the G. W. Roberts building for the home of the Collinsville Public Library has been an impossible dream come true.  The project began to take shape when the Town Council gave unanimous approval in November 2001, for Collinsville Library Trustees to pursue a project to renovate this historic building for the public Library.  

The New library is located at 151 Main Street in downtown Collinsville.  Phase one of the project was completed and our dreams realized when the new library opened on July 10,2009.  A portrait of the old and new or the before and the after shows just how much the hard work, prayers, and the support of the Collinsville Community have accomplished.

We have recently received a new grant and work on the inside of the library that will include stairs and an elevator.  The final stage of our project will be renovating the existing 3,000 square feet of space on our second story.  continue to follow our progress as we will post updates and pictures as we enter the final stage.
