The Collinsville Public Library is located at 4299 Alabama Hwy 68, and is open Monday though Friday:

Monday 12:30-6:30
Tuesday and Wednesday 10:30-6:30
Thursday   1:30-5:00
Friday   2:30-5:00

The library employs librarian Jennifer Wilkins who is assisted by Linda Traffanstedt and Margaret Goldthreat. 

Collinsville Public Library provides a place for reading, study and research, writing, and use of public access computers.  All resources including books, audio tapes, videos, and computer usage are provided free to the public.  The library staff places a special emphasis our youngest citizens ~ our children ~ providing a safe place to learn, a safe after-school place, and the opportunity to make every dream come true.

What makes Collinsville Public Library unique:

  • Free classes in English as a Second Language and preparation for the GED exam.
  • 12 computers to allow convenient access to the internet.
  • In-house wireless connections - bring your own laptop!

The Library also serves as headquarters for the Collinsville Community Learning Centers after-school program which is available to children K - 6th grade.

The Public Library was founded by The Collinsville Study Club in 1933 ~ Mrs. Fannie Johnson was the first librarian. The Study Club is still a major supporter of the facility.
