CLEANUP MONTH – APRIL 2006

In an effort to make our town a more sanitary and healthy place to live, the Sanitation Department of the Town of Collinsville will collect any volume of waste from customers / premises within the town limits, during the entire month of April, without additional charge.  

To make the process of collection more cost efficient, the Department asks that the following guidelines be observed.  

• All waste should be placed for collection on the regularly scheduled collection day.
  
• All waste must be containerized whenever possible. Grass, leaves and other small clippings and similar wastes will not be collected unless bagged or otherwise containerized.
  
• Limbs and other non-containerized lawn and garden waste and debris should be kept separate from other types of waste.
  
• Scrap lumber and other building materials must be stacked or piled for safe and easy lifting by machinery.
  
• All waste must be placed at a location approved by the Sanitation Department – call 524-2135, we can usually respond in less than 2 hours.

• No waste should be placed in ditches on in such manner that sidewalks or street are blocked or obstructed.

• The Department will NOT collect any waste from a commercial operation – possible exception will be made for pre-existing accumulations of commercial wastes – call 524-2135.

• The Department will NOT collect any waste from customers / premises with delinquent accounts.
